Lonesome Dove Suite

Our next Western movie suite comes from the beloved mini-series that broke so many hearts and records when it aired in 1989. The beautiful music that accompanied this tour-de-force was penned by one of our favorite composers, Mr. Poledouris, and he did not hold back either. It was said that he studied many of the great Western scores to come up with what he called orchestral folk songs. It works beautifully! From the first notes, you know that you are listening to a western and although most of this movie suite is subdued, its grandeur is unmistakable. With a timing of 25:53, I believe you'll enjoy this one for certain. -MJ
