Music by James Horner
Since we have a new decade, we should start out this year with the latest motion picture score that is rocking the world. The movie, Avatar, is groundbreaking. So too, is the music which sets a new bar. Mr. Horner brought his "A" game when he composed the motion picture score, yet when you listen you know that you've heard it all before. Please, don't get me wrong. I love this score. Some of my favorite movie scores were penned by James Horner, so it makes sense that this too makes my favorites list. In fact, this movie suite turns out to be the longest running I've ever done at just under 44 minutes. This will have to do until the extended version of the score is released.
