Last Starfighter, The Suite
Music by Craig Safan
Another fantasy, another science fiction yarn and another motion picture score filled with horns, marches and tender moments of yearning. Sounds like another one by John Williams, but if you think so, you would be wrong. Craig Safan has penned many movie scores, as well as many TV themes and he's well-known for also writing the Cheer's TV Sitcom theme. When this music was released in 1984, we were still discovering computers and stretching our yuppie muscles. This movie suite is lively, filled with fun and it seems to work. With a timing of 23:37, it really is just what we need. I hope you enjoy this rarity. -MJ
