Mask of Zorro, The Movie Suite

Mask of Zorro, The Suite
Music by James Horner

With a swiftness that enhances his ability to deliberately put the listener into the center of the action, Mr. Horner has delivered us a movie suite with gorgeous Spanish themes that is at once uplifting and inspiring.  With a few minutes of love and a fun chase thrown in for good measure, the main theme is repeated enough to draw every note together to form a cohesive whole.  With a timing of 31:41, added to the sequel, The Legend of Zorro, found in my next post, you have James Horner's symphonic, Zorro.  At least until the next one comes out.  Until then, hope you enjoy.  -MJ

Legend of Zorro, The Movie Suite

Legend of Zorro, The Suite
Music by James Horner

The second incarnation of this unique sequel is filled with the textures of Spanish conquistadors intertwined with Mr. Horner's involving action cues.  Together we're delivered a movie suite that is engagingly listenable as well as unique.  With a timing of 29:21, this stands by itself, but it can and should be taken together with the movie suite from The Mask of Zorro and you now have the second movement in James Horner's symphonic, Zorro. At least you could if you wanted to.  At the very least, I hope you enjoy this.  -MJ
