We Are In Limbo

WE ARE IN LIMBO FOR THE TIME BEING

As of 11/04/13 you will note, all the Dropbox links are locked out for now. Once again, it has become increasingly difficult to find a place to conveniently share the movie suites with you. The search is on, but it may take a bit of time, since we will no doubt have to rename and encrypt all the files once again to protect the true-hearted. Of course many of the Deposit links are still up, but they will only last a measly 90 days, so it is barely a stop-gap that helps no-one. I will keep you posted on any changes, so stay tuned.   -MJ

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Well, if you've made any attempts to download one of these movie suites from Mediafire, you will note that my account has been suspended. Many emails and phone calls later, it is obvious that they will not reinstate. Some of the Deposit files are still valid to download, but they only hold files for a maximum of 90 days. Guess I'll find another file site, but unfortunately, that probably will not happen until 2013, although I'm still hoping for a miracle. We'll see. Wish one and all a Happy Holiday season no matter what your orientation is. Enjoy life!!  -MJ

JUST A NOTE

Just A Note
by Sir Malcolm James

Thank you to the fan who recently brought to my attention that the Toucanshare links are not working at all. In fact that sharing site is completely gone from the web just as so many others have fallen by the wayside. We have decided to utilize Mediafire.com for all current and future downloads as well as Depositfiles.com, although the later only keeps files for a maxmum of 90 days. All links for 2012 have been updated and hopefully, the remainder of links will be up by next week. Thanks for lurking and keep on listening. -MJ

New Links For All Movie Suites

A comment of note!!

I must apologize to those of you who inadvertantly happened upon this situation, yet thank you to have brought this to my attention. Links have died. Well, it has finally happened, although I must say that it is only surprising that it took this long. Most of my Rapidshare links and MegaUpload links have been eradicated from their respective locations. Of course, this errant measure came as a complete surprise to myself, since noticing with dimished respect the serious issues at both file sites. Never worry, I will begin at once with a thorough investigation, before re-up loading each and every Movie Suite from the oldest to the newest on http://www.toucanshare.com/. This will be done as soon as possible. Stayed tuned. Thanks for listening. -Sir Malcolm James

PS - 08/2012 - Oh well, toucanshare.com barely lasted for a year and here we aare again looking for a file sharing site. Mediafire has some good reviews and the files will never be deleted. Okay, that's to be determined later. Never say never!

Rants and Ravings of a Fine Lunatic

Okay, there are blogs out there with opinions as big as zepplins. There are also blogs where a person can share an interest and a belief that goes beyond opinion and borders on the obsessive. Here at movie suites, I try to tell it like it is when discussing a motion picture score, yet it must be understood that these are my own opinions, as such as they may be. Certainly when it comes to movie suites or even movie soundtracks in general, my opinion certainly can and does come from an obsessive point of view.

Huh? You probably could care less about my opinion, so I'll get on with the issue at hand. While listening to the latest scores for the latest movies (Summer of 2009) I am really quite concerned. Where have all the themes gone? Where is the movie tune that everyone knows? Why is it that so much of the new soundtracks are simply mood music (moodtracks) and not the symphonic portraits that they certainly could be? It may be true that for every three or four moodtracks out there, there is at least one gem among them. It may also be true that there are upcoming motion pictures with unbelievable movie scores that will certainly rewrite history. Sure hope so.

That's why we have movie suites, where we can take the special cues, emotional themes and memorable passages and then carefully merge them into a listenable masterwork. Just remember when the movie suite has a timing of only 15 minutes from a 2 hour movie, you can imagine just how much mood music was left in the recycle bin.

Okay, sorry about that. I rarely rant and rave, but felt that I had to get this off of my chest. Thanks for listening. Enjoy the music! -MJ

Welcome movie suite lovers.

Well, this is my first post as a blogger. Since I've borrowed plenty of other's hard work through the years and never gave much of anything back in return, I have decided it's about time to gave something back. In other words this is my penance.

The thought that there were other souls existing on this blue planet of life, who made and listened to Movie Suites*, was astonishing. It turns out, that there are lots of us out there and we love the music that goes along with motion pictures. Although not a trained musician, my involvement with music for many years has led to the understanding that some of us do have a golden ear. Okay, at least yours truly can hear things that other people don't. Sometimes that's good and sometimes that's bad, but at the very least it helps show the way.

Okay, enough yada, yada, yada...lets start posting some tunes!

Remember after you listen to these movie suites, if you love the music, buy the music. After all if we don't buy it, it will go away.

It my sincere wish that you enjoy what is left on this blog. Please let me know.
