Frantic pacing mixed with some familiar holiday themes highlight this movie suite from Mr. Williams. When this was released in 1990 it garnered the composer an oscar nomination for Best Original Score, in no small part due to the song "Somewhere In My Memory" which is revisited throughout the suite on mumerous occasions. Although this dates from 1992, we can still enjoy the way John Williams compells us into listening to his lyrical cues that are reminiscent of Raiders or Hook with a festive holiday flair. Borrowing a little bit from his first Home Alone score, he adds some new cues here, some new riffs there and then "presto" we have a brond new movie suite that can be listened to anytime, but feels most at home during the holiday season.
