Ten Commandments Suite, The

This epic movie suite from 1956 has a spectacular pedigree that conveniently unfolds for the listener to take in. Undoubtably the main themes will be familiar to you, since they have been well played concert pieces for years, but if not familiar, then you are in for a real treat. The fanfare that opens the suite is the backbone that all the other cues are built upon, yet this is a connected composition with all the qualities one would expect from a symphony or tone-poem.
