Red Dawn Movie Suite 1984
Music by Basil Poledouris
That there was a certainty of knowing that I would really like this movie suite from 1984 by one of my favorite composers, Basil Poledouris, before I even began working on it, is amazing. After all, everything he wrote was not perfect, but it had been over twenty years since I listened to this music, so I wondered if it would even hold up after all this time. Well, the main theme is unmistakable, the slow portions are not too sweetly done and the early use of synthesizer mixed among the orchestral cues is quite endearing. I do not expect that you'll be disappointed by this, so as always, I hope you enjoy. -MJ

Thanks. I always like hearing the old versions along with the new. I haven't seen the new movie yet but the old Red Dawn is a favourite.
